It has taken me a few days to be able to post this news. Sadly, we will not be adopting Vivian and Noah. There has been a complication and the children had to be returned to their village. It has been heartbreaking and we will always have these children in our thoughts.
We do plan to move forward with adoption from Ghana but are evaluating exactly what that means. We will not be traveling to Ghana in 3 weeks. We need to postpone that trip until we have identified a child or children that need to be adopted and fit into our family.
We hope we can move forward in the very near future and will post information as soon as we have some.
This is absolutely heartbreaking. I am mourning with you. We've been through this, and the feelings and thoughts are awful. Take your time to grieve for your children, and stand firm in this journey. I believe God has a child for you in Ghana.....He has put adoption into your hearts for a reason. Adoption in Ghana is SO HARD. But that is the exact reason that families need to continue, even through the hardships. There are SO MANY children in need in Ghana and God is trying to get His work done there. It all starts with people who are willing to pave the way for others. It will not be easy, but - Press on!
